National Testing Agency (NTA)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous organization established by the Government of India to conduct entrance examinations in a transparent, efficient, and standardized manner. NTA is responsible for organizing major national-level exams such as JEE Main, NEET (UG), CUET, and others. Its objective is to ensure fairness, accuracy, and quality in the assessment process while reducing the burden on students through a technology-driven examination system.

The NEET UG 2026 admit card has been released by the National Testing Agency for all registered candidates. Students can download it online using their application number and date of birth through www.indercafe.com. The exam will be held on 03 May 2026. Candidates must carry a printed admit card to the exam centre and verify all details carefully. Entry without a valid admit card will not be allowed under any circumstances.

As per the National Testing Agency notification, candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2)
or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects
from a recognized board. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in PCB subjects as per category eligibility criteria.

The selection process of NEET UG 2026 is based on a written entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates are shortlisted based on marks, All India Rank, and category rank. Qualified candidates participate in centralized counseling for MBBS, BDS, and medical courses through AIQ and state quota seats.

NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in offline (pen and paper) mode. The paper includes 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions from Physics (45), Chemistry (45), and Biology (90). Total marks are 720. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

The National Testing Agency will conduct NEET UG 2026 in multiple languages to help students across India. The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
