The National Testing Agency has released the important dates for NEET UG 2026. The online application process began in February 2026 and closed in March 2026. The correction window opened in March 2026, while admit cards were released in April 2026. The NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on 03 May 2026. Later, the examination was officially cancelled by NTA on 12 May 2026 due to investigation findings and examination irregularities. NEET UG 2026 age criteria is defined by the National Testing Agency. Candidates must complete 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit as per current rules. Age relaxation is applicable only as per government norms and official notification guidelines.

As per the National Testing Agency notification, candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2)
or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects
from a recognized board. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in PCB subjects as per category eligibility criteria.

The selection process of NEET UG 2026 is based on a written entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates are shortlisted based on marks, All India Rank, and category rank. Qualified candidates participate in centralized counseling for MBBS, BDS, and medical courses through AIQ and state quota seats.

NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in offline (pen and paper) mode. The paper includes 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions from Physics (45), Chemistry (45), and Biology (90). Total marks are 720. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
