Candidates applying for PSTET 2025 must possess the prescribed educational qualifications as per the guidelines of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) and NCTE norms. Applicants for Paper I (Classes I–V) should have passed Senior Secondary with the required percentage along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or equivalent. For Paper II (Classes VI–VIII), candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree along with B.Ed / D.El.Ed or equivalent qualification. Final eligibility will be subject to the official PSTET 2025 notification.

 PSTET Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification
For Paper-I (Classes I to V):

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
  • Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) / B.El.Ed / Equivalent

For Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII):

The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2025 is conducted in two papers: Paper I for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V, and Paper II for those aiming to teach Classes VI to VIII.
